WP Garden - Kids Bulbs (12 images)
Children in the Wicker Park’s Park Kids after school program studied spring
blooming bulbs – types of bulbs, blooming times, height, light requirements -
and then designed and planted this garden in October 2004. The program was
designed and taught by the Wicker Park Garden Club in collaboration with Park
Kids head teacher, Esmeralda Rodriguez.Bulbs planted:
Tulips, crocus, muscari, snow drops, fritillaria, hyacinths, daffodils,
miniature iris.
Shrubs: dogwood, viburnum, conifers
Bulbs were purchased from funding donated by Carmen and
Brad Lonstein, the Wicker Park Garden Club, and the Friends of the Park
